Island Hopper Songwriter Fest preview party hits all the right notes
Expect tunes and brews at Swamp Cat Brewing Co.

LEE COUNTY, Fla. (U.S.A.) – Island Hopper Songwriter Fest kicks off with a preview party at Swamp Cat Brewing Co. in Fort Myers from 6-9 p.m. on Sept. 4.
Local favorite and BMI singer-songwriter Sheena Brook will perform and host the event along with performances from BMI singer-songwriter Angie K.
Angie K. will also be opening for Island Hopper headliner, Chris Young, on Sept. 28.
The preview party is a sneak peek of what’s to come for the 11th Island Hopper Songwriter Fest happening Sept. 19-28 on Captiva Island, Cape Coral, downtown Fort Myers and Fort Myers Beach.
New this year, singer-songwriter Frank Myers will join Cut the Chord String Quartet and Jimmy Nichols for a special performance at the Captiva Civic Center on Sept. 20.
Other new ticketed experiences include:
Sept. 22: LOCASH will take the Island Hopper stage in Cape Coral at The Westin Cape Coral Resort at Marina Village. Their most recent hit, “Hometown Home,” peaked on the Billboard Country Airplay chart at No. 1. Sept. 27: Canvas and Chords lets you immerse yourself in the sounds of BMI singer-songwriters Danny Myrick and Katrina Cain at Alair Custom Homes on Fort Myers Beach while local island artist Lacy McClary paints a custom work of art. Ticket proceeds will support SWFL Reefs.
Sept. 28: Multi-platinum BMI singer-songwriter and Grammy-nominated Chris Young will wrap up Island Hopper with a pool-party performance at Pink Shell Beach Resort & Marina on Fort Myers Beach. Young has more than 9 billion global streams and 14 career No. 1 singles.
Island Hopper Songwriter Fest, named one of the Top 5 music fests by USA Today 10Best Readers’ Choice Awards, gives fans the opportunity to see singer-songwriters perform in smaller venues with a tropical setting as the backdrop.
More than 60 singer-songwriters will be featured in more than 80 performances during the 10-day music fest. Be sure to catch a live Island Hopper performance at these four locations around the Fort Myers area:
