Commissioners approve new LeeCARES program

The Lee Board of County Commissioners today voted to extend LeeCARES to non-profit human service agencies and municipalities. A new round of PPE distribution is also planned. Business Rehire and Individual/Family Assistance programs to close Sept. 18.

Allegiant adds Houston, Chicago flights
Allegiant Air is adding two nonstop routes from the Punta Gorda Airport (PGD) to Houston and Chicago, beginning Nov. 20.
The new seasonal nonstop routes to William P. Hobby Airport (HOU) and Chicago Midway International Airport (MDW) will fly out of Punta Gorda twice a week.

Virtual bingo to benefit Women in Business scholarships
4-6 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 2
There will be one round of bingo then everyone will move to Zoom breakout rooms to spend time networking. Then, Game 2 of bingo and another Zoom breakout with different people; same with a third round.
Cost: Registration is $15 for members and future members and includes one card to play in each of three games. Additional cards are $5 per game.
