Holiday Inn Fort Myers Airport @ Town Center preserves staff jobs, feeds employees and celebrates graduates amidst a global pandemic

Amidst the future unknowns facing the hotel industry nationwide, Holiday Inn Fort Myers Airport @ Town Center has forged its own path in response to the COVID-19 global pandemic. Buoyed by the funding available through the SBA program, the hotel has operated at 100% of its high season staffing levels for all guest service departments for the last month.

The management team also made an investment to provide professional development opportunities for all staff, at no cost, served nearly 150 meals to employees and their families during a drive-through dinner, complete with live entertainment. The hotel did not let its graduates go unrecognized, hosting a private commencement ceremony, including congratulatory certificates and lunch prepared by Chef Murray Young.
