Drive-thru food drive May 14 at Fort Myers Brewing benefits Community Cooperative and Gulf Coast Humane Society
Fort Myers Brewing Company is challenging the community to fill a box truck Thursday, May 14, by donating shelf-stable food products or money, so that Community Cooperative can buy the food it needs. Gulf Coast Humane Society will join this effort to receive donations of unopened pet food and treats that will be distributed at Community Cooperative food pantries to help people be able to keep their pets safe at home.
The brewery hosted “Gateway CAN do it: Food Drive Rally” April 30 and collected 3,000 lbs. of food and raised more than $1,400 for Community Cooperative. The donations are enough to feed about 525 people for a week.

Longtime destination visitor Erica Baxter sent the VCB a photo of her nephew playing on the beach during their February stay at Beach Club One on Fort Myers Beach.
She writes, "During these difficult times, I want to share with you a picture that may make you smile and any one else it is shared with. In this picture it shows the joy, fun and excitement that FMB brings to my family and I’m sure so many others. ...My family looks forward to our next visit and many more memories in the years to come."
