Welcome VCB Visitor Services Coordinator Benecia Toyloy

The Lee County Visitor & Convention Bureau (VCB) welcomes Benecia Toyloy as its new visitor services coordinator.

Toyloy’s role will include coordinating the recruitment, training and supervision of volunteers who work for the VCB. She will also provide informational and support assistance to visitors arriving at Southwest Florida International Airport, as well as play an integral role in producing special events.

Toyloy most recently worked at the Lee County vaccination site as lead vaccine site specialist assisting clients as well as managing vaccination site staff. Her hotel experience includes working as a catering sales manager, sales and service coordinator, reservation manager and event management. She has worked for Cooper Hotels, McKibbon Hospitality and Sanibel Harbour Marriott Resort & Spa.

She earned her associate of arts degree from Florida Southwestern State College. Originally from Baltimore, Toyloy has lived in Lee County since 1998.

  • What are three interesting facts someone might be surprised to learn about you? I have a handsome 8-year-old son; I fully embrace my Trinidad culture; I used to be a model and pageant queen.
  • Walk on the beach or hike (by Florida standards) in the woods? Walk on the beach. This island girl loves to have her toes in the sand and hear the beautiful sound of waves crashing.
