The Music & Arts Community Center in Fort Myers sets the stage on fire with its electrifying “Latin Nights” concert, a celebration of rhythm, passion, and the vibrant beats of Latin music concert, featuring the sensational talents of Calixto Oviedo – La Recompensa. As the sun dips below the horizon, the venue comes alive with the sizzling sounds of salsa, merengue, bachata, and more, transporting the audience to a world of pulsating energy and sultry melodies.

Before the main event, we invite all attendees to join a special dance class led by the renowned Dancer and Choreographer, Franciel Diaz. With over 15 years of experience in various dance styles including Jazz, Ballet, Latin, Salsa, Flamenco, Tango, Hip Hop, and Urban Rhythms, Franciel Diaz is a true dance virtuoso. Her journey began in Venezuela and has since led her to dance, teach, and choreograph for many well-known dance studios and schools. She currently serves as the Lyrical Dance Teacher at Gulfshore Ballet.

Franciel’s teaching style is dynamic and unique, incorporating and fusing different dance genres in her classes. This approach gives students the opportunity to learn new dance styles and movements, increasing their versatility and allowing them to grow both as dancers and individuals. Whether you’re a seasoned dancer or a beginner looking to explore the world of dance, Franciel Diaz’s class is the perfect way to kickstart your evening of “Latin Nights.”

The headlining act, led by the world-renowned percussionist Calixto Oviedo and his band La Recompensa, will take you on a musical journey like no other.
