Great Wolf Resorts, a family-friendly chain of experience-based hotels — each location features an indoor waterpark — is officially coming to Florida, with a $250 million project in Naples.

The Madison, Wisconsin-based company held a groundbreaking for the resort, on 20 acres on the eastern end of Collier County, near the Paradise Coast Sports Complex, July 14. The resort is estimated to bring in 250-500 construction and trade jobs, according to a statement, with more than 600 full- and part-time jobs at the lodge when it opens. Construction will take 18-24 months, making the grand opening spring/summer of 2024, the release adds.

This is the brand’s 21st resort in North America and will feature 500 suites and a 100,000-square-foot indoor water park, along with 62,000 square feet of family-friendly attractions inside the Great Wolf Adventure Park. The $250 million for the project, officials say, comes from Great Wolf shareholders Blackstone and Centerbridge Partners.

The Collier County Commission, in a vote last summer, approved $15 million in incentives for the project.

Great Wolf Resorts is North America’s largest family of indoor waterpark resorts and through its subsidiaries and affiliates owns and operates family resorts under the Great Wolf Lodge brand.
