A total renovation of the 33-year-old Captiva Yacht Club clubhouse has been completed, Stevens Construction President Mark Stevens said. The project included demolition of the interior and transformation of the main dining area, Founders Room, office space and commercial kitchen by the Fort Myers-based construction company.

Amy Nowacki served as the architect and interior designer of the renovation which featured a design concept to bring coastal colors of the sea and island into the building. New electrical and mechanical systems, exterior siding, windows, doors, pergolas and a new roof also were installed.

In the main dining room is an expansive back-lit bar with quartzite countertops, walnut accents and custom glass features resembling sails complimenting the yacht clubs nautical theme. A cupola is situated above the bar allowing natural light to showcase the building interior.
